A FAMILY WEBSITE, MADE FOR YOU
Your Story, Created Together
Through conversations with you, I’ll uncover the memories behind your photographs, videos, letters, and keepsakes. Then I’ll shape those stories and build a family website you can share with the people who matter to you.
We begin with a conversation
THE FIRST STEP
You don’t need to have your family history organized before we talk. We’ll look at the photographs, videos, letters, and documents you have, and I’ll ask about the people and moments behind them. Together, we’ll choose where to begin and what you’d like your family website to include.
From memories to a website
HOW IT WORKS
01 — Gather the stories
I’ll interview you about the people, places, and moments behind your photographs and keepsakes. We’ll choose where to begin, and I’ll scan the photographs and documents selected if they haven’t been digitized.
02 — Create the first pages
I’ll organize and add the materials we’ve selected to your website, write the stories behind them, and design pages that bring the images and words together.
03 — Review and keep building
We’ll review the pages together and refine any details. Then we can move on to the next group of photographs, documents, and memories, building your website one story at a time.
A lasting record of your collection
PERSONAL COLLECTIONS
Perhaps you’d rather document a treasured collection instead. I can photograph the items you choose, talk with you about their origins and why they matter, and build a website that brings the photographs and stories together.
Your collection stays with you. I photograph selected items on your premises; I do not take them off-site.
Let’s start with your story.
Tell me a little about the family materials you have and what you’d like to preserve. We can talk about where to begin and what creating your website together could look like.
I’m Wallis Alviar, a former TV reporter and a writer, producer, and editor. I’d be glad to hear about the stories you’d like to preserve.
